It’s hard to say whether sports betting is becoming easier due to better access to information, improved betting software, and new tools - or harder because of much more regulations, sharper lines, and fewer bookmaker mistakes than in the past.
There are many ways to look at this, and a lot depends on a bettor’s style and expectations. That’s why I think this could be an interesting discussion.
Is it still possible to gain an advantage as a regular player?
What changes do you expect to see in the next few years?
I am interested in hearing different points of view.
I voted for no real change. I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I believe that a lot depends on the mood. During a losing streak, it seems more difficult, and during a winning streak, it seems easier, haha. But seriously, I think it all balances out. There are problems, such as regulations, faster odds changes, etc. Technological developments give bookmakers new tools... but on the other hand, they also give them to players. Also, there is currently very wide access to information, and information has always been a valuable thing. So I think that betting, like everything else, changes over time, but the balance will be maintained.
